Blackburn Rovers beat Preston North End 2-0 in the Lancashire FA Senior Cup quarter-finals today – and Ethan Walker scored both goals.

The Championship is taking a back seat for a couple of weeks with international games now upon us.

PNE don’t play again until April 1st with bitter rivals Blackpool heading to Deepdale.

North End’s youngsters got a run-out today though, facing other rival as Blackburn Rovers stood in the way of PNE reaching the semi-finals of the Lancashire FA Senior Cup.

Why Chelsea FINALLY Turned A Corner.

The game took place as the Rovers academy and PNE sadly ended up on the losing side.

Ethan Walker just had to score against PNE and found the net twice to send Rovers into the last four.

Walker took to Twitter to post two emojis celebrating the win, no doubt loving that he scored against his former club.

Walker left PNE at the end of last season and made the move to rivals Rovers.

North End saw Tyrhys Dolan make a similar move in 2020, and he has become a key first-team player at Ewood Park.

The fear now is that Walker will end up following a similar path and end up leaving North End ruing losing him.

Walker was born in Preston and come up through the North End ranks, making a huge impression in the youth setup.

Walker became North End’s youngest-ever player to appear in a league game back in December 2018, coming off the bench against Aston Villa at the age of just 16 years and 156 days.

The 20-year-old was never able to kick on at North End though and now finds himself at Blackburn, with his two goals against PNE no doubt feeling sweet for the young forward.
