Preston North End’s dramatic 2-1 win over Reading on Monday afternoon could lead to Paul Ince losing his job.

PNE were looking to make it three wins in a row on Saturday after beating Blackpool and Queens Park Rangers.

Ryan Lowe’s men were superb and took a deserved lead through Everton loanee Tom Cannon.

It looked like PNE were going to be left heartbroken though as substitute Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan headed home from a long throw-in.

Why Chelsea FINALLY Turned A Corner.

All PNE’s hard work was going to waste and all the missed chances were seemingly coming back to haunt North End.

There was one late twist though as Robbie Brady’s deep corner was kept alive by Andrew Hughes and Brad Potts rose highest to force the ball home.

Potts sparked absolutely wild scenes at Deepdale as fans, players and staff lost their collective minds.

That goal puts PNE level on points with fifth and sixth places in the Championship, putting the play-off dream well and truly on.

Monday’s result was a disaster for Reading though, as they sit in the bottom three of the Championship table.

The Royals’ recent six-point deduction plunges them into relegation trouble and Paul Ince could pay the price.

The Telegraph report that Ince’s future is now in doubt and Reading could sack the former England ace.

Reading haven’t won in their last eight games, taking just three points in that run, and have won just twice in their last 17 games.

Reading are letting a little twitchy now and may choose to sack Ince in an attempt to spark a late run of results.

PNE fans haven’t exactly loved Ince over the years after calling North End fans ‘louts’ back in 2013.

Ince lost 1-0 as Blackpool boss on that occasion and tasted Deepdale defeat once again on Monday.

Some North End fans will have wry smiles on their faces if Ince loses his job following defeat to PNE, with Reading having much to ponder.
