Former Preston North End star Daniel Iversen could be offered up to Sunderland as Leicester City chase a deal for Anthony Patterson.
That’s according to The Sun, who suggest that Leicester are desperate to land Sunderland goalkeeper Patterson.
The Black Cats star has impressed this season and is now attracting major Premier League interest.
Danny Ward hasn’t entirely convinced as Leicester’s first-choice goalkeeper this season and Patterson could be viewed as their long-term solution.
Why Chelsea FINALLY Turned A Corner.
Sunderland won’t let Patterson go easily though and that’s where former PNE stopper Iversen could come into the equation.
It’s claimed that Leicester are willing to send Iversen to Sunderland as part of a deal for Patterson.

Wages are noted as being the big stumbling block but the Dane could be available at the end of the season.
This is surprising timing though given that Iversen only just supplanted Ward as Leicester’s first-choice goalkeeper.
Iversen started the 1-1 draw against Brentford before the international break, taking Ward’s spot in a 1-1 draw.
Just a week later, Iversen is yet again being linked with a move away from the King Power Stadium.

PNE fans probably can’t believe it took Leicester this long to start with Iversen between the sticks.
Iversen was outstanding during an 18-month loan spell at Deepdale and won last season’s Player of the Year award.
Whilst North End would have surely loved to have Iversen back, it wasn’t to be and Freddie Woodman came in from Newcastle United instead.
Seeing Iversen on the bench all season has been bizarre with Ward hardly excelling, and the Dane should now get a run in Brendan Rodgers’ side.
It would be a surprise to see Iversen drop back into the Championship again now, and PNE will just be hoping to avoid facing such a quality goalkeeper next season.
