Preston have been linked with a few goalkeepers since the end of last season, and the speculation is continuing.
North End showed some interest in Aro Muric and Fraser Forster over the summer, but they went elsewhere. Declan Rudd has remained as the undoubted first choice, but his future is a little unclear.
Rudd is out of contract at the end of the season, as are Chris Maxwell, Michael Crowe and Mathew Hudson, meaning Preston have big decisions to make between the sticks.
Rudd has improved a little this season, but there are still some issues. In the last two games, Rudd staying on his line has caused a little anxiety in his defence, and coming for crosses remains a problem.

North End may subsequently look to target a new goalkeeper in January, and a Premier League loan has been rumoured. The Daily Star reported earlier this month that Preston are keen on Liverpool talent Caoimhin Kelleher, and would be keen on a loan deal.

Jurgen Klopp will allegedly consider sending the 20-year-old out on loan, with mounting interest after his Carabao Cup display against Arsenal.
Kelleher is behind Alisson and Adrian in the Liverpool pecking order, whilst they also have ex-Preston stopper Andy Lonergan, meaning a temporary move for the Irishman would make some sense.
Liverpool fans have been taking to Twitter to react to the rumours, suggesting that it would be the perfect move for him to go out and play games, believing Preston are a fine destination.
Others are concerned that Kelleher wouldn’t be able to displace Rudd, and would be better off staying at Anfield to play in cup matches – and it will be up to Alex Neil and co to decide whether the Irishman is really worth pursuing.
