How many pitches are there at the Euxton Training Ground?
Spread over approximately 20 acres, the training ground features multiple full-size pitches, including a meticulously maintained main training pitch. These pitches are equipped with modern drainage systems, allowing for optimal playing conditions throughout the year.
In addition to the pitches, Euxton Training Ground boasts a range of specialised training areas. These include areas for technical drills, small-sided games and fitness conditioning. The facility also features a fully equipped gymnasium, physiotherapy and medical rooms and changing facilities.

Preston North End trained at ‘Springfields’ prior to Euxton
Springfields, located in the suburb of Lea, Preston, served as the training ground of Preston North End before the club moved their training operations to Euxton. Springfields was a significant training facility for the club, providing pitches, training areas and other amenities for their players and coaching staff.
The facility at Springfields itself was fine but the Euxton Training Ground is a massive step up.
Plans to develop Preston North End training ground
Unfortunately, at this moment in time, there are no plans to develop Preston North End’s training ground.
The club only moved into the new state-of-the-art facility in 2020, so are currently thriving in all of its modernised facilities.
