Preston finalised their first summer signing on Wednesday evening, snapping up defender Liam Lindsay from Stoke City.
We exclusively reported in May that Lindsay would be coming back permanently, and that deal has now been done.
With Greg Cunningham and Ched Evans given contract extensions. Preston are really pushing to keep most of their January signings.
Who will be Preston’s next signing?
After making signing number one, fans will be wondering who the next addition will be, with North End needing much more work yet.
We’d have to predict that Liverpool defender Sepp van den Berg will be next in, and we believe the deal is all but done for him to return.
The Dutch talent spent the first half of 2021 on loan at Deepdale, and is set to come back in another defensive move for Preston.
What about Iversen?
Lancs Live claim that a deal has been agreed for Leicester City goalkeeper Daniel Iversen to rejoin Preston on loan, just like Van den Berg.
Yet with Danny Ward and Kasper Schmeichel both at the European Championships, it may take a few weeks for Iversen to officially join up with Preston.
Names are being linked with Preston every day now, but Van den Berg is surely the favourite to be following Lindsay in the entrance door.
