Preston boss Alex Neil has recently suggested that he would like to sign another winger, and he’s still waiting for one as the transfer deadline approaches.

Billy Bodin is only just back in training and can leave for free this summer, whilst Seani Maguire and Brad Potts would likely prefer to play elsewhere.

Scott Sinclair and Tom Barkhuizen need some help out wide, and this could be a priority for Neil ahead of Monday’s transfer deadline.

SAKA, ANTONY AND 10 PREMIER LEAGUE STARS HEADING TO THEIR FIRST WORLD CUP

On Thursday, Football Insider report that Preston have now opened talks to take Everton winger Anthony Gordon on loan for the rest of the season.

Blackburn Rovers are claimed to be keen too, with Gordon needing first-team football between now and the end of the season.

The 19-year-old has only played 88 minutes of Premier League action this season, and his lack of playing time means he is stagnating at Goodison Park.

Gordon is primarily a left-sided winger with skill on the ball and close control in tight areas, possibly giving Preston something a little different.

Everton fans have been taking to Twitter to suggest that such a move is a ‘great idea’, believing that a loan move is exactly what Gordon needs.

Some feel that Gordon will return a better player after a loan away from Everton, and there seems to be a belief that joining Preston would be a positive step.
