Preston’s decision to sell Darnell Fisher has raised some eyebrows, having offloaded him to Middlesbrough on Friday.
North End brought in just £300,000 for Fisher, selling him before he walked away at the end of his contract this coming summer.
Oddly, Fisher wasn’t presented with an offer to stay at Deepdale, despite the fact that he has been a key player throughout Alex Neil’s time as Preston boss.

Fisher was immediately thrown into the Middlesbrough starting XI to take on league leaders Norwich City today, and certainly impressed.
The right back followed Todd Cantwell all over Carrow Road in a committed display, helping keep a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw.

Whilst North End lost 1-0 at Sheffield Wednesday, Fisher has already made a huge impact with Boro, earning massive praise from fans on Twitter.

Some called Fisher ‘immense’ for his performance against the Canaries, praising him for one of the best debuts in recent history at Middlesbrough.
Others believe the £300,000 could be an absolute bargain, with North End fans surely questioning whether the right decision has been made after Fisher won Sky Sports Man of the Match on his Boro debut.
