Preston have already made three loan signings this week, but are now being linked with another one!

Two of those loanees have come in from the Premier League, with Jayson Molumby and Daniel Iversen coming in from Brighton and Leicester respectively.

On Thursday though, the Daily Mail reported that Preston have asked about a potential loan deal for Leeds United attacker Tyler Roberts.

Now, this wouldn’t be an easy deal to complete; firstly, Marcelo Bielsa isn’t all that keen on the idea of letting Roberts leave.

Secondly, a string of other Championship clubs – Bournemouth, Cardiff City, Derby County and Sheffield Wednesday – have also communicated their interest.

Leeds paid £2.5million for Roberts in January 2018, and he has hit seven goals and seven assists in 63 games for the Whites, even hitting a brace against Preston at Elland Road back in September 2018.

With a number of striking options at Alex Neil’s disposal, it seems like Roberts would be viewed more as a number 10, and a possible signing if Daniel Johnson leaves this summer.

Preston fans took to Twitter to react to the rumours, suggesting that adding Roberts would make this something of a dream transfer window, if added alongside Doncaster Rovers ace Ben Whiteman.

Others called Roberts ‘excellent’ and believe a move would be ‘tremendous’, even joking about pulling off backlips if the Welsh international ends up at Deepdale.
