Well, that one probably won’t last long in the memory.

Preston took on Reading in the Championship today, and were looking to build on the 1-0 midweek win at Birmingham City.

Unfortunately, Preston couldn’t find a breakthrough today, drawing 0-0 at Deepdale – and were somewhat fortunate that Lucas Joao missed a late penalty for the visitors.

One point isn’t a bad result, and it was a second straight clean sheet for Preston, with stopper Daniel Iversen impressing.

The Dane arrived on loan from Leicester City earlier this month, quickly establishing himself as first-choice goalkeeper with Declan Rudd out for the season.

Iversen impressed at Birmingham in midweek, and was arguably even better today, making a number of fine saves to keep Reading at bay.

Sone Aluko, John Swift and Ovie Ejaria all found Iversen in top form, and he produced a stunning save to deny Michael Morrison – though that was offside anyway.

The 23-year-old is making a real impression at Deepdale, and fans have taken to Twitter to hail Iversen’s latest performance.

Some called him ‘absolutely class’ and ‘some keeper’, urging Preston to make the move permanent and get him back for next season – even after just three league starts for North End.
