Preston picked up a vital win on Saturday afternoon, beating Huddersfield Town 3-0 at Deepdale in a thumping victory.
North End have been patchy of late, and three games without a win had left some supporters worried.
However, Alex Neil’s side were in the ascendancy once Brad Potts fired in the opener, having seen Huddersfield dominate the early stages.
Potts then set up Ched Evans for number two in the second half, with Scott Sinclair firing home number three late on.
This win eases the pressure on Neil, and it’s fair to say that January signings made a big impact in Saturday’s win.
Sepp van den Berg impressed again, Daniel Iversen was dependable early on, and Evans turned in a superb centre forward display.
Left back Greg Cunningham also starred, looking like he has barely missed a beat since leaving Preston almost three years ago.
The Irishman hasn’t been easy to replace since he left for Cardiff City, but is already showing why he was such a favourite back in the day.
Cunningham has a deal until the end of the season, but he is certainly going the right way about landing an extension.
Fans took to Twitter to praise Cunningham, branding him excellent whilst suggesting that he is looking like his old self again.
Others think Preston fans don’t realise how good Cunningham really is, and think he is now settled at ‘home’ with North End.
