Preston have a host of contract decisions to make in 2021, with a number of players able to leave the club for nothing.
North End’s so-called ‘big four’ – Ben Davies, Ben Pearson, Alan Browne and Daniel Johnson – are all entering the final six months of their contracts.
The quartet may all choose to leave on free transfers, and can even sign pre-contract agreements with non-English clubs from January 1st.

Bizarrely though, Preston have yet to offer a new deal to Darnell Fisher, with the Lancashire Evening Post noting that new terms are not on offer right now.
Fisher has been a key player for Alex Neil ever since joining from Rotherham United in 2017, racking up more than 100 appearances for North End.

The 26-year-old remains one of Preston’s most important players, so it’s somewhat surprising to hear that he hasn’t been offered a new deal yet.

Preston fans have been taking to Twitter to react to the rumours, with something of a split as some think it’s ‘absolutely crazy’ not to have given him a deal, and would be a ‘huge mistake’.
Others think Fisher is a ‘liability’ and simply not good enough, even wondering whether the club are tired of his injuries, disciplinary issues or whether he has a move away in mind.
