Preston North End produced a strong second-half display to draw 1-1 with Fulham on Saturday – and Liam Lindsay has earned praise from fans.
Fulham took a first-half lead through Tim Ream, but Ched Evans bundled in a leveller to give North End a point.
Preston showed some fight in the second half, and were well worth their point against the league leaders.
In a surprising turn of events, Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic didn’t find the net against North End.
The Serbian seems to score against Preston at will, but despite his goalscoring form this term, he couldn’t find the net on Saturday.
When the Preston team was announced, some were left worried by Lindsay being in the heart of defence with Patrick Bauer out.

That meant Lindsay was charged with the task of nullifying Mitrovic – and he fared better than many expected.
The Scot needed a big performance sooner or later. Lindsay is in danger of being ranked alongside Neill Collins and Eoin Doyle in terms of baffling permanent signings after mixed loan spells.
Lindsay turned in a performance that left Preston fans impressed, branding him ‘brilliant’ and ‘outstanding’.
