Preston North End picked up a 1-1 draw against Stoke City on Tuesday night, with Daniel Iversen undoubtedly the star of the show.

PNE went into the game off the back of four straight draws in the Championship – and made it five in a row at Deepdale.

Nick Powell headed Stoke into the lead, ghosting into the box unmarked to finish past Iversen.

PNE were second best but did get level before the break, with Ben Whiteman firing a superb free kick into the net.

Stoke had the better chances in the second half, but Iversen stood tall to make a number of saves.

Iversen continues to star for PNE

Goalkeeper Iversen quickly became a fan favourite after joining PNE on loan from Leicester City in January.

When the summer window began, Iversen was unsurprisingly North End’s top target.

Back for another year, Iversen has continued his fine form this season.

Iversen made a handful of outstanding saves to keep Stoke at bay on Tuesday night.

PNE fans have been absolutely raving about the Dane, believing he may be the best goalkeeper ever to play for North End.

Others called Iversen a ‘cheat code’, praising him for a ‘class’ and ‘absolutely outstanding’ display.

Some think Iversen will ultimately play at a much higher level than PNE, as he is now the best goalkeeper in the Championship.
