Blackpool host Preston North End in the Championship today but have decided not to make the game viewable to fans at home.

PNE head down the M55 this afternoon for their second Lancashire derby of the season.

North End drew 1-1 with Burnley in September and will now be looking for there points against Blackpool.

PNE fans have been given just 2082 tickets at Bloomfield Road as the clubs continue their off-field tensions.

When North End were given a similar allocation last season, PNE responded by giving Blackpool the same figure at Deepdale despite the Bill Shankly Kop holding much, much more.

This situation shows no sign of ending and it now feels another step has been taken.

North End have confirmed that audio commentary will be supplied on iFollow this afternoon.

However, with the game kicking off at 12:30pm, 3pm blackout restrictions do not apply and fans at home could have been given a chance to watch along.

PNE have confirmed that this is at the discretion of the home team though and Blackpool have decided not to make the game available to fans in UK and Ireland.

North End supporters will understandably feel that this is a decision solely made to annoy PNE fans who weren’t able to secure tickets in the away end today.

Blackpool haven’t given an official explanation for this decision but North End fans were certainly left puzzled.

The ongoing issues between the two clubs are understandable.

North End took the reduced allocation last season as a real kick in the teeth and had to stand up for themselves.

You can also see the other side though, in that these decisions all feel a little petty and we just have to hope that this derby isn’t diluted over the coming years.
