Derby day is here as Preston North End play host to Blackburn Rovers at Deepdale in a huge Championship clash.

PNE have found form again of late, winning three games in a row as Ryan Lowe seemingly emerges from a very testing time.

North End’s three wins have come against decent opposition too, beating Ipswich Town, Cardiff City and Middlesbrough in recent weeks.

A fourth win in a row would be perfect for PNE – and especially as it would be against Rovers.

North End go with Freddie Woodman in goal and there is positive news in the back line.

Andrew Hughes is passed fit to play despite picking up an injury against Boro in midweek.

Hughes joins Jordan Storey and Liam Lindsay at the back with Liam Millar and Robbie Brady featuring as the wing backs.

Ben Whiteman and Alan Browne start in midfield with Mads Frøkjær-Jensen pushed forward as the number 10.

Emil Riis and Will Keane continue their partnership in attack with Riis looking to score for the third game in a row.

Former Rovers defender Greg Cunningham is on the PNE bench, joining Dai Cornell, Jack Whatmough, Josh Seary, Ali McCann, Ryan Ledson, Ben Woodburn, Layton Stewart and Milutin Osmajic.

Preston North End starting XI: Woodman; Storey, Lindsay, Hughes; Millar, Whiteman, Browne, Brady; Frøkjær-Jensen; Riis, Keane.

Preston North End substitutes: Cornell, Cunningham, Whatmough, Seary, McCann, Ledson, Woodburn, Stewart, Osmajic.

Blackburn Rovers starting XI: Pears; Hyam, McFadzean, Wharton; Brittain, Tronstad, Fleck, Hedges; Szmodics, Dolan, Gallagher.
