Preston return to action this evening with Burnley arriving into town for North End’s first real Lancashire derby of the season (sorry, we’re not counting Wigan Athletic!)
Ryan Lowe’s men lost last time out, falling to a 1-0 defeat to Birmingham City.
Saturday’s game at Bristol City was postponed due to the passing of Queen Elizabeth II and North End must now give a response to that Birmingham defeat.
With no wins – or even goals – at home this season, fans are desperate for a big display tonight.
Lowe won’t be on the touchline having been banned for two games but he has made one change to his team.
Daniel Johnson comes into the side in place of captain Alan Browne.
Freddie Woodman starts in goal for North End tonight with a back three of Jordan Storey, Liam Lindsay and Greg Cunningham ahead of him.
Brad Potts and former Burnley man Robbie Brady are the wing backs with Ben Whiteman in a holding role.
Ali McCann and Johnson will then have the freedom to go from box to box whilst Emil Riis and Troy Parrott are given another chance to try and find the net at Deepdale.
Andrew Hughes and Seani Maguire are both named off the bench after coming back from injury, joining Dai Cornell, Alvaro Fernandez, Ryan Ledson, Browne and Ched Evans.
Burnley go with Arijanet Muric in goal tonight, and it’s a back four ahead of him with Connor Roberts, Taylor Harwood-Bellis, Charlie Taylor and Vitinho starting.
Former Preston midfielder Josh Brownhill starts in Burnley’s engine room, joining Jack Cork and Josh Cullen.
Jay Rodriguez leads the line in attack with Manuel Benson and Nathan Tella supporting him from out wide.
Summer signings Jordan Beyer, Ian Maatssen, Samuel Bastien, Halil Dervisoglu and Anass Zaroury are all on the Burnley bench tonight, joining Bailey Peacock-Farrell and Ashley Barnes.
