Preston head to Glasgow this afternoon to take on Celtic in their latest pre-season friendly.
Frankie McAvoy’s men are three weeks away from the start of the Championship season, and face a tough challenge in today’s game.
The Bhoys may not have won the Scottish Premiership title last season, but still have real quality and will be a great test for Preston today.
Preston head into the game having played two friendlies so far this summer, first beating non-league side Bamber Bridge 8-3 at our Euxton training ground last weekend.
North End then faced St Johnstone in midweek, drawing 1-1 at McDiarmid Park.
Celtic are a little further ahead in their pre-season preparations, picking up wins over League One sides Sheffield Wednesday and Charlton Athletic.
In midweek, the Bhoys drew 0-0 against our Championship rivals Bristol City as new boss Ange Postecoglou attempts to get his side ready for Champions League qualifiers.
The game kicks off at Parkhead this evening at 5:30pm UK time – not 3pm as many pre-season friendlies on a Saturday usually are!
The game will be shown live on Premier Sports, who carry many of Celtic’s pre-season games. Premier Sports can be accessed through Sky and Virgin Media, but will cost extra depending on the package.
Alternatively, you can watch the game through Premier Player, but you will have to sign up for a month rather than just today’s game, at a cost of £11 a month.
Preston are also streaming the game via iFollow. If you are a seasonal or monthly iFollow subscriber, Preston will be showing Premier Sports coverage from 5pm.
Match passes are no longer available after iFollow crashed before the St Johnstone game, meaning you must subscribe for a month or a year to access today’s game.
