Liverpool head to Deepdale this evening to take on Preston North End in the Carabao Cup – and it looks like being a very rotated side.
The Reds hammered Manchester United on Sunday afternoon and will naturally look to rotate their side to rest some big names.
The likes of Alisson, Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah look unlikely to start at Deepdale tonight, which may be a boost to Preston defenders.
MANCHESTER UNITED WERE A DISGRACE.
The Liverpool Echo claim that Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi are ‘certain’ to start against Preston tonight.
They are still international attackers with Japan and Belgium respectively, meaning they will pose a huge threat to the North End back line.
There were some hints in Liverpool’s Under-23 squad on Monday night too.
Conor Bradley, Tyler Morton, James Balagizi, Kaide Gordon and Mateusz Musialowski are all left out of Monday’s Under-23 clash with Blackburn Rovers.
That may be an indication that all five players will be part of tonight’s Liverpool side to take on Preston.
Bradley and Gordon both started in the last round against Norwich City, so they could start again here.
More recognisable players like Joe Gomez, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Kostas Tsimikas could also feature for Liverpool tonight, who will be huge favourites going into the game.
