Preston are back in action this afternoon as they host Rotherham United at Deepdale with three new faces on board.
Liam Lindsay, Sepp van den Berg and Anthony Gordon all arrived on deadline day, but only two of them start this afternoon.
Lindsay partners Paul Huntington at centre back, with Anthony Gordon featuring on the left flank in place of Scott Sinclair.
That means Liverpool loanee Sepp van den Berg starts his Preston career on the bench, which many expected given that Huntington has been solid of late and Lindsay offers balance as a left-footer.
Daniel Iversen starts in goal against his former club, but there is no Alan Browne as he misses out with a knock.
That means Joe Rafferty comes in at right back, joining Huntington, Lindsay and Andrew Hughes across the back four.
Ryan Ledson partners Ben Whiteman in midfield once again, with Gordon on the left and Tom Barkhuizen recalled on the right, whilst Jayson Molumby features in an advanced midfield role.
There’s a major surprise in attack as Ched Evans starts, meaning Emil Riis drops to the bench despite starting regularly of late.
Riis and Sinclair join Van den Berg on the bench, alongside Connor Ripley, Greg Cunningham, Paul Gallagher, Daniel Johnson, Brad Potts and Seani Maguire.
Preston starting XI (4-2-3-1): Iversen; Rafferty, Huntington, Lindsay, Hughes; Ledson, Whiteman; Barkhuizen, Molumby, Gordon; Evans.
Preston substitutes:Ripley, Van den Berg, Cunningham, Gallagher, Johnson, Potts, Sinclair, Maguire, Riis.
