Preston North End starting XI: Woodman; Storey, Lindsay, Cunningham; Potts, Whiteman, Ledson, Fernandez; McCann, Woodburn; Riis.

Preston North End substitutes: Cornell, Diaby, Browne, Brady, Johnson, Maguire, Evans.

It’s derby day today as PNE head down the M55 to take on bitter rivals Blackpool at Bloomfield Road.

North End lost at Blackpool on this very weekend last year and will be looking to avenge that 2-0 defeat.

Ryan Lowe’s men head into the game with three wins in the last five and would love a derby day victory.

Lowe goes with Freddie Woodman in goal behind a back three as usual.

There is a change at the back though as Liam Lindsay comes into the side, featuring as the middle centre back.

Jordan Storey is on the right side whilst Greg Cunningham shifts to the left with Andrew Hughes not even in the squad.

Former Blackpool ace Brad Potts lines up against his former club at right wing back with Alvaro Fernandez on the left.

Ben Whiteman and Ryan Ledson form a combative midfield duo with Ali McCann and ex-Tangerine loanee Ben Woodburn pushing further on.

Emil Riis leads the line in attack with Seani Maguire and Ched Evans left on the bench today.

They’re joined by fellow substitutes Dai Cornell, Bambo Diaby, Alan Browne, Robbie Brady and Daniel Johnson.

Meanwhile, Blackpool go with a 4-3-3 as former PNE goalkeeper Chris Maxwell starts in goal.

It’s then a back four of Callum Connolly, Marvin Ekpiteta, Jordan Thorniley and James Husband.

Liam Bridcutt, Charlie Patino and Kenny Dougall feature in midfield with Jerry Yates and CJ Hamilton supporting Gary Madine up top.
