SAKA, ANTONY AND 10 PREMIER LEAGUE STARS HEADING TO THEIR FIRST WORLD CUP

A game against League One Cheltenham Town looks winnable on paper, but could be a real banana skin.

McAvoy has made a number of changes to the side tonight.

Declan Rudd comes in for Daniel Iversen in goal, whilst Patrick Bauer drops out of the squad completely.

Liam Lindsay takes his place, with two changes in the wing back roles as Joe Rafferty and Greg Cunningham start.

Ali McCann is in for his first start as a PNE player, joining Ben Whiteman in midfield.

Brad Potts is the number 10 tonight, fresh from signing a new contract.

Connor Wickham also makes his first start for North End, partnering Emil Riis up top.

Adam O’Reilly and Joe Rodwell-Grant make the bench, joined by Iversen, Sepp van den Berg, Josh Earl, Alan Browne and Seani Maguire.

Fan reaction to PNE team vs Cheltenham

Most fans seem to think this is a strong PNE side, branding it ‘solid’.

There is excitement over the full debut of McCann following his last-gasp move from St Johnstone in August.

Some fans are a little confused though, as Scott Sinclair isn’t in the squad at all and Alan Browne is only on the bench when both need minutes.
