Preston North End are back in action on Saturday after a two week break for internationals.
They headed into the break with a 3-1 win over Swansea City at Deepdale and are set to face Nigel Pearson’s Bristol City as the Championship resumes.
Sepp van den Berg and new signing Ali McCann were among those away with their respective international sides. Josh Murphy is another new signing who will come into contention whilst Ched Evans should be available after a spell out.
7 Football Clubs With Restrictive Transfer Policies
Frankie McAvoy’s side impressed last time out against Swansea so it would be a surprise to see him tinker too much. There was a chance for a few players to impress in the reserve match against Walsall during the week, but it is unlikely to force any changes.
Predicted team
Iversen; Storey, Bauer, Hughes; van den Berg, Ledson, Whiteman, Earl; Johnson; Riis, Maguire
Substitutes: Rudd, Lindsay, Cunningham, McCann, Browne, Murphy, Sinclair
It is expected that McAvoy will go with the same team that beat Swansea, but trying to predict the substitutes is a tough task.
MORE PRESTON STORIES
Ali McCann has only joined up with the squad at Euxton on Friday, and after a tough week with Northern Ireland he is unlikely to be thrown straight into the side.

Josh Murphy seems raring to go but may have to settle for a place on the bench. Aside from that, Brad Potts and Ched Evans are available but it is hard to fit them all in.
McAvoy has a big squad to choose from, with a lot of players at a similar level to each other. There is still Tom Barkhuizen to come back as well as the potential signing of Connor Wickham.
