The full match squad is as follows:

Starting XI – Rudd; Rafferty, Van den Berg, Storey, Hughes, Cunningham; Ledson, Johnson; Potts, Riis, Sinclair

Preston beat Mansfield Town in the last round of the Carabao Cup, and are now looking for a passage into the third round.

Morecambe dumped Blackburn Rovers out of the competition in the first round, so they will be looking for another scalp.

Ben Whiteman gets a rest tonight, whilst Alan Browne, Ched Evans and Liam Lindsay are still isolating, as is Tom Barkhuizen.

Joe Rodwell-Grant looked primed to start but is now out with an illness.

Fan reaction to Preston team vs Morecambe

Fans have been taking to Twitter to react to the lineup, and there is basically just one topic of conversation – Rodwell-Grant not being involved.

Supporters are clamouring for him to be given a chance, and wanted an explanation as to why he wasn’t in the squad.

North End answered, revealing that Rodwell-Grant is out through illness, though some aren’t happy to see a couple of players in the team anyway…
