Preston North End fans may see a familiar name on the Middlesbrough team sheet tonight with Rav van den Berg in line to start.
PNE’s last trip to Teesside meant running into a former loan star in Cameron Archer.
Archer helped demolish North End with a brace in a 4-0 Boro win back in March.
North End head back to the Riverside Stadium again tonight and will this time face the brother of a former Deepdale loan favourite…
Rav van den Berg in line to face Preston North End
Boro haven’t been quite as impressive this season and find themselves in 12th place, four points shy of PNE.
Michael Carrick’s men are a major problem on their day though and North End may have to face a recognisable name.
A defender named Van den Berg will be in contention to start for Boro having started each of their last five Championship games.
It’s not former PNE loanee Sepp, but rather his younger brother Rav.
North End fans have fond memories of Sepp van den Berg having impressed in 18 months on loan from Liverpool.

The Dutchman is now in Germany with Mainz but North End fans will dream of seeing him in the famous white shirt again down the line.
Sepp secured his Bundesliga move over the summer, just a week after his brother Rav completed a move to Middlesbrough.
Rav came up in the PEC Zwolle ranks just like Sepp and is even a centre back by trade too.
We saw Sepp feature as a right back in his early days at Deepdale and Rav is now doing the same at Middlesbrough.
Rav is two years younger than Sepp and will have no doubt heard plenty about PNE from his older brother.
The 19-year-old will be looking to take North End down tonight though, which may leave Sepp with split loyalties for tonight’s game.
