Cameron Archer’s brother Aaron has been left blown away after Preston North End and Middlesbrough came together to chant for the striker.
Archer lined up against PNE for the first time on Saturday afternoon.
The Aston Villa loanee spent the second half of last season on loan at North End and became a fan favourite.
A summer return wasn’t possible and even when PNE tried again in January, Middlesbrough managed to win the race.
Why Chelsea FINALLY Turned A Corner.
It felt obvious that Archer would be scoring against North End and that’s certainly how it played out.
Archer scored twice in the second half to help Middlesbrough claim a huge 4-0 win over North End.
Watching Archer scoring goals for a Championship club is hard enough, never mind when the goals actually against PNE.
Archer came over to clap the North End fans at the end of the game and was met with the travelling faithful chanting the ‘Cameron Archer baby’ song back at him.
A video reposted by Archer’s brother Aaron showed both PNE and Middlesbrough fans chanting Archer’s name together.
It’s not often you see fans chanting for a player who just scored twice against their club, but Archer has a special place in the hearts of PNE fans.
Archer’s brother Aaron was blown away, taking to Twitter to state that seeing both sets of fans gave him goosebumps.
Aaron added that this was the ultimate level of respect for his brother, appreciating PNE and Boro fans coming together to chant for Cameron.
This just goes to show what a special player Archer is and he surely deserves a chance to shine for Aston Villa when he returns there this summer.
