Atletico Madrid superstar Antoine Griezmann has named Preston North End loanee Calvin Ramsay as his best signing on Football Manager 2024.
PNE fans may not be too pleased with the club involved though.
There are no doubt so many North End supporters who could tell tales of how they took PNE to the Premier League on Football Manager.
Professional players dabble in Football Manager too and nobody has been more prominent in that regard than Antoine Griezmann.
The Atletico Madrid star and French World Cup winner has previously shared his saves with Newcastle United and Bordeaux, to ESPN have asked him for an update on Football Manager 2024…
Antoine Griezmann picks PNE loanee Calvin Ramsay as his best Football Manager signing
Griezmann is now managing North End’s Lancashire rivals Blackburn Rovers and has taken a current North End player to Ewood Park.
Griezmann was asked for his best signing on FM24 and went with PNE loanee Calvin Ramsay – even though he couldn’t remember his name!
“A young right back who was at Liverpool, he’s Scottish, but I can’t remember the name,” said Griezmann.
Images of Ramsay appeared on the screen with the PNE man confirmed as the player Griezmann was describing.

Ramsay has been an exciting talent for a while now, hence Liverpool’s decision to sign him from Aberdeen in 2022.
The Scot’s start to life at Deepdale has been hit by injury, picking up several issues to curtail his impact.
Ramsay only managed his first league start for PNE earlier this month and he will now be looking to kick on in the coming weeks and months.
Griezmann’s love for him – even if only virtually – will no doubt bring a few laughs and jokes from PNE players, and we can only hope that Ramsay shines between now and his return to Liverpool.
There is clearly huge potential in Ramsay and he could play a huge role in any PNE playoff push this season.
