What a whirlwind few days it’s been for Ben Davies – and it’s just got even better for him.
Davies turned out for Preston on Saturday afternoon, playing 90 minutes in the 1-0 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday before his life got turned upside down.
Davies was set to move to Celtic, but a last-gasp call from Liverpool meant he instead completed a staggering deadline day move to the Premier League champions.

The 25-year-old heads to Anfield for £1.6million plus a 20% sell-on clause and Sepp van den Berg on loan, rather than Preston losing him for nothing this summer.
Davies could be involved in Liverpool’s Premier League clash with Brighton and Hove Albion tonight, but there is even more positive news for him.
MORE PRESTON STORIES
Liverpool have announced changes to their Champions League squad, and as noted by the Liverpool Echo, Davies has been included.

Ozan Kabak and Nat Phillips join Davies in the squad, with Joel Matip, Ben Woodburn, Takumi Minamino and Harvey Elliott removed.
Davies now has the very real opportunity to go from Championship to Champions League, adding another unbelievable layer to his move.
Liverpool’s last 16 tie with RB Leipzig starts on the 16th of February, and Preston fans everywhere will be wishing him the best of luck as his journey into European action begins.
