Blackburn Rovers star Bradley Dack reacts on Twitter to Darnell Fisher controversy

Preston North End are embroiled in something of a controversy at the moment, in the aftermath of Saturday’s 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday.

Alex Neil’s side finally claimed a first home win of the season as Tom Barkhuizen’s volley secured all three points over the 10 man Owls.

Josh Windass’s red card isn’t the situation here, but rather that Darnell Fisher could now be in trouble with The Football Association.

Footage emerged of Fisher grabbing the genitals of Wednesday attacker Callum Paterson, and the right back now faces an FA probe over the incident.

In Rugby Union, England’s Joe Marler was banned for 10 weeks for a similar incident earlier this year, so Preston may now be without the defender for the rest of the year.

The story has divided opinion, but Fisher has now received support from an unlikely place – rivals Blackburn Rovers.

Ahead of Tuesday’s clash with Rovers, Bradley Dack has taken to Twitter to suggest that the investigation into the incident is ‘laughable’.

Dack asked what the world is coming to as Fisher faces disciplinary action, but based on that rugby ban, Fisher may be in hot water.
