Preston tied up a second signing of the January transfer window by signing Exeter City striker Jayden Stockley today.
After signing Walsall winger Josh Ginnelly earlier this week, Alex Neil already has a second January signing sealed.
It’s hardly been a secret that North End have been searching for a target man for some time, having lost Jordan Hugill last January.
Now, North End have finally got one. Stockley arrives with the size and aerial ability that Neil has been desperate for in attack.

Stockley finished 2018 as the top scorer in England’s top four leagues. He also scored more headers than anybody in the country.

North End fans have been happy enough with the deal, and it seems that some at Bournemouth are also pleased.
Stockley, 26, came up through the Bournemouth ranks and scored twice in 22 games before a 2016 move to Aberdeen.
The Cherries haven’t forgotten about their former striker though, reactin to his move earlier today.
They congratulated Stockley and wished him all the best at Deepdale, whilst recounting a tale of how he missed school to be in the Bournemouth squad many years ago.
A long way since missing GCSE classes to be part of the #afcb squad!
