Preston are into the second round of the Carabao Cup after hammering Bradford City 4-0 on Tuesday night.

North End were in fine spirits after beating Wigan Athletic 3-0 on Saturday, and Alex Neil chose to completely overhaul his side, making 11 changes to his starting line-up.

Andre Green was brought in for his first start, and the Aston Villa loanee took his chance. The winger opened the scoring, latching onto Tom Clarke’s cross with a fine finish.

Tom Barkuizen added to the scoreline with a goal either side of half time to make it 3-0, and Josh Harrop added a fourth shortly after coming on as a substitute.

It was a fine night for North End, and it also caught the eye of winger Callum Robinson, who left North End for Sheffield United this summer.

Robinson took to Instagram to celebrate Harrop’s substitution and then his goal, praising the playmaker’s impact. The pair were seemingly close at Deepdale, and Robinson showed Harrop some love as he looks to finally get his Preston career going.

Robinson’s Sheffield United then drew Blackburn Rovers in the next round of the Carabao Cup, and that’s an important game for the attacker.

Robinson knows about all about Preston’s rivalry with Rovers, and famously celebrated in front of the travelling Rovers fans at Deepdale last season, having scored to put Preston 2-0 up.

Robinson re-posted the photo this morning, mocking Rovers whilst suggesting that the tie will be ‘interesting’ given his history with Tony Mowbray’s side.
