Preston were in action this afternoon, starting their pre-season preparations with a 3-1 win at Salford City.
North End took the lead as Scott Sinclair turned well inside the box to finish, before Billy Bodin finished off a fine move with a quickfire second.
Ashley Hunter scored for Salford, but Preston restored their two-goal lead late on with Josh Harrop tucking him a Brad Potts cross.

SAKA, ANTONY AND 10 PREMIER LEAGUE STARS HEADING TO THEIR FIRST WORLD CUP
It was a good run-out for North End, but fans understandably looked towards some of the players who didn’t feature at the Peninsula Stadium.
David Nugent and Josh Ginnelly weren’t even in the squad, whilst Declan Rudd missed out amid fears that he has picked up an injury in training.
MORE PRESTON STORIES
Most surprising though was Darnell Fisher’s absence. The right back wasn’t in the squad at all, with Alan Browne playing in the first half and Joe Rafferty in the second.

Some have wondered whether Fisher may be leaving this summer given that he is out of contract next summer, and his playing time was limited after lockdown.
One fan suggested that Fisher has had a bust-up with boss Neil, but Fisher himself took to Twitter to completely shoot down that rumour, suggesting that it’s news to him if he’s fallen out with the Preston boss.
Fisher has been a fine performer for Preston since joining in 2017, so let’s hope we see him back in action soon.
