If there’s one thing Preston North End don’t want to deal with again, it’s contracts running down.
They have ensured one of their brightest prospects has committed his future to the club as Jordan Storey today signed a new deal. The defender has signed a contract that ties him down with the club until 2025.
Storey who turned 24 this month has made 87 appearances in a North End shirt. He has played every minute in the league this season, and has looked composed in a back three alongside Patrick Bauer, and Andrew Hughes recently.
Speaking to the official website, Storey said “I’m delighted. I’ve been here for a few years now, I love the club, I love the area so it’s nice to get it done and dusted. I’ve really enjoyed my time here and I want to keep progressing at the club so it was my main goal to stay here.”
The former Exeter City player has a bright future ahead of him at PNE, but the club should be trying to tie down another defender now. Patrick Bauer is back to his best this season following a long-term injury last campaign.

His contract runs out next summer, and the German has certainly shown enough to deserve an extension. He put his body on the line at the weekend, well more so his face, as he played for 80 minutes with a broken nose.
Scott Sinclair and Tom Barkhuizen are others whose contracts have entered the final year as well.
