Preston North End claimed a big win this afternoon, beating Luton Town 2-0 at Deepdale thanks to a superb Emil Riis brace.
Riis opened the scoring with a ridiculous opening goal, smashing a swerving strike into the roof of the net from a tight angle.
The Dane added a second before the break, scoring from the penalty spot after a foul on Ali McCann.
Riis couldn’t find his hat-trick, but his brace gave Preston a much-needed win.
That’s the perfect way for Riis to celebrate his new contract having penned an improved and extended deal on Friday.
That’s now 11 goals in 19 games for Riis this season, who baffles fans at times but will score goals if you keep giving him chances.

Fans are praising Riis after yet another goal, and teammate Izzy Brown has taken to Twitter to offer his praise.
Playmaker Brown is out injured with a torn achilles and may not play until 2022 as he faces a long road back to the pitch.
Brown watched on as Preston beat his former club Luton, and raved about Riis.
Brown suggested that Riis simply cannot be stopped right now and is ‘on flames’ in front of goal.
