Preston have made their third signing of the summer and the second of the week having tied up a deal for Izzy Brown.
North End signed Liam Lindsay earlier this month, and brought back Sepp van den Berg for another loan spell from Liverpool on Monday.
Late on Tuesday afternoon, Preston confirmed the signing of playmaker Brown on a free transfer following his release from Chelsea.
The 24-year-old spent eight years at Chelsea, making just the one appearance for the first team.

Brown was farmed out on loan a staggering seven times; Vitesse Arnhem, Rotherham United, Huddersfield Town, Brighton and Hove Albion, Leeds United, Luton Town and Sheffield Wednesday.
Brown now needs to find himself a permanent home, and he has picked Preston, signing a one-year deal with the option of another year.
A clearly talented playmaker, Brown has struggled for form and fitness in recent times. This is something of a risk for Preston, but one worth taking given his talent.
Brown will have key dates to tick off; his first training session, his first pre-season friendly, his Deepdale debut.

On Thursday, Brown will tick off one key date as the fixture list comes out, and he will be able to pick out important clashes for his first season as a Preston player.
Brown has now noted on iFollow that he’s already heard that facing bitter rivals Blackpool is the one to look forward to, so Preston’s new signing is focusing on the Seasiders.
“I’m hearing Blackpool is a good game to look forward to, so I’ll be looking out for that one, for sure!” said Brown.
It’s important for new signings to understand the fabric of the club, and having them understand the magnitude of the Blackpool games is a great start.
