Former Preston North End striker Jordan Hugill scored two goals on Friday as he helped Rotherham United to a big win over West Bromwich Albion.
The 3-1 win was a huge boost to The Millers survival chances whilst The Baggies now find themselves five points off the top six.
Hugill joined Rotherham on a permanent deal in January from fellow Championship side Norwich City. The Yorkshire club are the striker’s seventh club since leaving Preston in 2018. After particularly impressing in the second half of his three-and-a-half year spell with North End he moved to the Premier League as David Moyes swooped to sign him for West Ham United.
For some reason he was never given a chance by The Hammers and loan moves to Middlesbrough and Queens Park Rangers followed before Norwich signed him permanently.

Why Chelsea FINALLY Turned A Corner.
After helping The Canaries to promotion he was denied another chance in the Premier League and instead went on loan in the Championship again. Firstly to West Brom and then to Cardiff City.
West Brom were hoping for an immediate return to the Premier League but things got off to a bad start under manager Valerien Ismael. Things weren’t going well and a lot of the blame went towards Hugill. But they simply weren’t using him effectively. He only scored one goal, and his loan was cut short at the half way stage of the season.
Hugill captained Rotherham on Friday in their game against West Brom now managed by Carlos Corberan. He was clearly motivated to prove a point against them. West Brom took the lead from the penalty spot after Hugill was adjudged to have fouled Conor Townsend.
However the 30-year-old got Rotherham back on level terms with a header before the break. He also hit the bar in the first half, before nodding his side into the lead in the second half. He enjoyed his goals, shushing the West Brom fans when he scored and when he was named as the man of the match by the stadium announcer. He also reminded them of the score on numerous occasions.

Hugill was a fan favourite for many at Deepdale scoring 30 goals for the club, but his career has been hit and miss since then. Rotherham seems to be a good fit for him at the moment; captaining the side, and scoring important goals in some crucial games.
