It looks like this one is getting closer.
Last night, the Daily Record broke that Scott Sinclair is on the verge of a move to Preston. The winger had allegedly left Celtic’s mid-season training base in Dubai in order to fly back to Manchester and then talk to Preston.
There had been chatter on social media about a move, but a strong source like the Record backing up the rumours has left people excited over the last 10 hours or so.
Now, The Telegraph’s Mike McGrath has now added more news to this story, taking to Twitter to claim that Sinclair is set to undergo a medical with North End.

That’s a big step towards a move being completed if true, and may well mean that Sinclair is on board in time to face Blackburn Rovers this weekend.
The 30-year-old hasn’t played much this season though, making just seven appearances under Neil Lennon. Still, with 62 goals in 167 games and three successive trebles won, Sinclair has played a huge role for the Bhoys since joining in 2016.
A proven goalscorer who can provide a piece of magic in the final third, Sinclair is the kind of player Preston fans have been crying out for. He may have lost half a yard of pace in the last 18 months or so, but his extra bit of quality is what North End need in the final third.
Hopefully, this deal gets over the line with no issues. It would be a huge coup for Preston to pull off, and an ideal start to what is a vital transfer window for North End.
