The January transfer of Ben Davies was met with delight by Preston North End fans happy to see him move to such a great club, whilst Liverpool fans were intrigued at the rarity of an English player being bought from the Championship.
We are now in the middle of March and Davies is still awaiting his Liverpool debut. He was absent again from the 20-man squad for their game against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday night.
With the season nearing its conclusion, you have to wonder whether he will have any part to play in this campaign at all.

Ozan Kabak and Nathaniel Phillips have been preferred of late, and whilst Phillips has shone, fellow January signing Kabak has looked a little nervous at times. Preston-born Rhys Williams features regularly on the bench and looks to be ahead of Davies in the pecking order.
With Joe Gomez, Virgil Van Dijk and Joel Matip all due to return from injury at some point, the future does look a bit bleak for Ben at Anfield.
As covered here on Deepdale Digest recently, Jurgen Klopp has said it will take time for Ben to adapt to their style of play and compared him to Andy Robertson, in that he took half a season to get going as well.
Liverpool fans are beginning to question why he isn’t being given a chance with their recent form suggesting they could do with him in the side.
Will Ben Davies ever be seen in a Liverpool shirt, or will he be sold on in the summer?
