Preston have released Louis Moult – but it seems that his former clubs would love to have him back.
North End announced last week that Moult’s time with the club was over as his contract expires next month.
Moult has been through injury hell since tearing his ACL in August 2019, and hasn’t played a single minute since then.

He’s been a credit to North End on and off the pitch since arriving from Motherwell in January 2018, but Preston just couldn’t justify a new deal after more than 18 months out of action.
Moult is likely to be in demand though, as Motherwell boss and Preston hero Graham Alexander hinted at interest in Moult last week.
Moult has also been bombarded with messages from Wrexham fans begging him to come home having previously been a hero in North Wales.

With Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds now running the show at Wrexham, fans have real hope of Moult coming back in a real coup – just as we covered earlier this season.
Moult has now told The Leader that Wrexham fans wanting him back so much is flattering, and he can’t wait to find his next club – which could be one of his old clubs!
“It was flattering really,” said Molt. “I have left Preston now and who knows what the future holds. I am excited for the future on a personal note and can’t wait to get going wherever that may be,” he added.
