It feels pretty rare that Preston actually get some positive injury news – usually we’re bemoaning a number of absences!
Declan Rudd is out for the season, Louis Moult hasn’t been seen in action for almost two years, Billy Bodin has barely had a kick all term and Liam Lindsay is out injured.
It gets pretty frustrating as this happens every year; Alex Neil has been forced to navigate more than one injury crisis during his time at Preston.

Back in December, North End were dealt a huge injury blow as defender Patrick Bauer picked up a turn Achilles in the 3-2 win away at Bournemouth – a game in which he actually he scored the winning goal.
It was pretty clear that Bauer would be out for the rest of the season, and the focus will now be on getting him back for pre-season training.
The German has been missed in the heart of the Preston defence, but he has given fans a welcome boost after visiting his surgeon this week.
Bauer took to Twitter to admit that he is ‘on the right path’, adding that his surgeon is happy with the progress he is making.
This isn’t an easy injury to come back from, but hopefully the 28-year-old will be back better than ever next season.
