Chris Humphrey was a half-time guest at the game against Hull City earlier this month.
The popular former right-winger is a regular at Deepdale when he can get down.
He recently shared some of his memories at the club, and looks back on his time at North End very fondly. Nowadays he is manager of Kendal Town who play in the Northern Premier League Division One West which is the eight tier of English football.
After the pandemic curtailed last season, he is looking to hit the ground running on Saturday as they take on a different North End. Glossop North End will be the visitors to Parkside Road.
Humphrey is still close friends with many of his former Preston teammates, and one of those helped him out in a Kendal Town training session on Thursday night.
Play-off hero Jermaine Beckford was on hand to to coach the Kendal players and perhaps further his coaching ambitions too.
Beckford retired from football in 2019 and has recently been seen on Sky Sports doing some punditry. Perhaps a career in coaching or managing is in the pipeline for him in the future though.
Jermaine famously scored a hat-trick at Wembley which helped Preston seal promotion back to the Championship in 2015. Chris Humphrey was on the bench that day, but played a big part that season.
