Preston defender Jordan Storey was involved in a spat with Nottingham Forest striker Lyle Taylor earlier this month – and he has now poked fun back at him.

North End lost 3-0 at Forest before the international break, turning in a dismal display at the City Ground.

Storey came off the bench with Patrick Bauer injured, but he couldn’t have expected such a fall-out with Taylor.

Forest brought Taylor on in the second half and he didn’t exactly make friends with Storey.

Taylor claims Storey was complaining to the referee about being stood on, leading Taylor to suggest that Storey was crying.

The game has long gone, but the saga continues after Storey had a jibe back at Taylor.

In Preston’s matchday programme for Saturday’s game against Fulham, Storey was asked to pick five people to invite to a dinner party.

Storey named Taylor as one of his picks, poking fun at him in the process.

‘He was my idol growing up and a true legend of the game…’ said Storey, mocking the Forest man.

With Preston set to face Forest in February, many eyes will be on Storey against Taylor just to see if they are at each other yet again.
