Preston fans have been wondering for weeks just who will be sponsoring the new kit for the 2021-22 season – and now we know.
Peter Ridsdale indicated a few weeks ago that a local company would be sponsoring the front of the shirt, with Preston deciding to move away from the usual betting company sponsor.
North End have now revealed the new shirt for this season – the classic white shirt with a navy blue wave effect on the shoulders and arms.
The sponsor on the front of the shirt is PAR Group, who actually sponsored the back of North End’s shirt last season.
PAR Group are based in Preston, and specialise in manufacturing, processing and supplying plastic, insulation and rubber products.
Fans will mostly just be pleased that the shirt doesn’t feature a betting sponsor, as we’ve been through a fair few over the years.
Tempobet, 888 Sport, 32 Red… it hasn’t sat right with many fans for a while now, so having a local company without ties to the betting industry is a great step.
