Preston’s position of goalkeeping coach has been something of a revolving door in recent times following Alan Kelly’s departure.
Kelly left North End in August 2017, leaving the club as a legend from his time as a Preston player and then as a coach.
In came Dean Kiely, but he quickly left for Crystal Palace, leaving ex-Preston youth team player Jack Cudworth to step into the role.

Jonathan Gould held the post for the 2019-20 season, only to then return to New Zealand before Mike Pollitt arrived.
Pollitt looks pretty settled in that role now, but what of Kelly?
Many expected him to stop coaching after his Preston exit, but he instead moved on to Everton just months later.

The Toffees have today announced a new manager as Rafael Benitez is now in charge at Goodison Park in a controversial move.
As part of Everton’s announcement, they confirmed that Kelly is staying on as part of Benitez’s coaching staff and won’t be replaced.
The 52-year-old now gets to prolong his coaching career in the Premier League, and whilst some may wish he was still at North End, you have to wish all the best to a Preston-born club hero.
