Alan Browne has made his 350th appearance for Preston North End and has received messages from both Cameron Archer and Sepp van den Berg.
North End were back in action at Deepdale on Saturday afternoon as Middlesbrough headed to Lancashire.
Boro took the lead through Chuba Akpom as Michael Carrick targeted a winning start to life as Middlesbrough manager.
PNE rallied though and equalised through Emil Riis as the Dane hammered home a powerful equaliser.
North End then won it at the death as Jordan Storey headed home a late winner for Ryan Lowe’s side.
Alan Browne will have been delighted with the win, especially as it marked his 350th appearance for the club.
Signed from Cork City way back in 2014, Browne has become part of the furniture at Deepdale.
Browne has been through plenty; playoff heartache in his first season before exorcising that demon a year later.
The Irishman has suffered ups and down in his form but few can really question his commitment to the North End cause.
Captain Browne returned to the starting XI against Middlesbrough, joining Ali McCann and Ben Whiteman in midfield.
Browne has now taken to Instagram to celebrate his huge milestone, stating that he was ‘incredibly proud’ to reach his 350th game.
Browne received messages from a number of players, including PNE duo Alvaro Fernandez and Patrick Bauer.
There were even a couple of messages from former North End loan stars Cameron Archer and Sepp van den Berg.
Archer simply stated ‘love it’ as Browne racked up number 350 whilst Van den Berg still calls Browne ‘the skipper’ after 18 months alongside the midfielder.
Van den Berg added his congratulations, calling Browne’s milestone a ‘big achievement’ as PNE players past and present passed on their messages.
