Ex-Preston North End star Callum Robinson has received a bonkers red card for Cardiff City in their derby against Swansea City.
It has been a weekend of derbies in the Championship.
PNE took centre stage themselves on Saturday, travelling to take on bitter rivals Blackpool at Bloomfield Road.
Sadly, that ended in a 4-2 defeat for North End.
Today, Watford are hosting Luton Town whilst down in South Wales, it’s Swansea City against Cardiff City.
At the time of writing, Swansea are leading 1-0 thanks to a goal from Ollie Cooper.
That came after Cardiff were reduced to 10 men inside the opening 10 minutes of the game.
Forward Callum Robinson clashed with Ben Cabango, throwing the ball at the Swansea defender’s head after a push.
Swansea players were incensed for what was branded a ‘moment of madness’ by Sky Sports commentator Gary Weaver.
Robinson was sent off for that incident, meaning he lasted just seven minutes in the South Wales derby.
Cardiff fans will understandably be frustrated that a moment of petulance has cost them in their biggest game of the season.
This is so out of character for Robinson too, with this the first red card of his professional career.
The 27-year-old had been making a great impact at Cardiff, notching two goals and three assists in eight appearances for the Bluebirds before today.
PNE were keen on re-signing Robinson on loan from West Bromwich Albion this summer but Cardiff swooped in with a permanent deal.
This red card is a setback for Robinson, especially for something so silly, and he will hope to get back on track very quickly once today is over.
