Preston North End boss Ryan Lowe has praised Dai Cornell with the goalkeeper yet to make a league appearance for the club.
PNE beat Cardiff City 2-0 on Saturday afternoon to make it six games unbeaten.
Whilst one Welshman got on the scoresheet against the Bluebirds as Ched Evans made it 2-0, others missed out.
Ben Woodburn started the game but Andrew Hughes is still injured and Dai Cornell was an unused substitute again.
Why Chelsea FINALLY Turned A Corner.
The veteran goalkeeper is a former Swansea City boy so would have surely loved to feature against Cardiff.
At one point, it looked like Cornell may have to be called into action.
PNE stopper Freddie Woodman took a blow to the face and his participation was in some doubt.
Cornell would have come in if Woodman couldn’t continue but the former Newcastle United man battled on.
Cornell is still left waiting for his Championship debut in a PNE shirt as a result.
Snapped up on a free transfer from Peterborough United over the summer, Cornell came in as backup for Woodman.
The 31-year-old has only played once this term, and that was in the 2-1 defeat at Wolverhampton Wanderers in an EFL Cup tie way back in August.

Cornell saved a penalty in that game and largely equipped himself well, suggesting that PNE do have a solid stopper in case Woodman is out.
Lowe has now paid tribute to Cornell, telling iFollow that he would have had no hesitation in terms of putting Cornell on to cover for Woodman.
Lowe feels Cornell has been ‘fantastic’ as part of the PNE squad even with just the one appearance to his name.
The PNE boss added that Cornell has played a key role behind the scenes in terms of helping Woodman develop alongside goalkeeping coach Mike Pollitt.
“Dai was waiting in the wings, ready,” said Lowe. “There would have been no hesitation to put him on because he’s been fantastic and he deserves a lot of credit as well, because of how Freddie’s been performing, because he works with him on a daily basis, him and Polly,” he added.
