Preston boss Ryan Lowe has praised a superb tackle from midfielder Ali McCann, which ultimately set up the last-gasp equaliser against Bristol City.
North End fell behind in the first half as Chris Martin fired Bristol City ahead at Deepdale.
Emil Riis hauled Preston level, only for Antoine Semenyo to fire a brilliant finish past Daniel Iversen at his near post.
There was another twist in the tale though, with Brad Potts crossing for Riis to pull off a stunning volley.
North End will be delighted with a point having looked destined for defeat, with McCann making an impact off the bench.
The Northern Ireland international has turned in some superb performances this season but hasn’t found a role under Lowe.
After featuring as a wing back in Lowe’s first game, McCann’s only start under the new boss came in the FA Cup defeat at Cardiff City.
With Ryan Ledson struggling against Bristol City, McCann was called upon at half time and helped Preston get back into the game.
We can only hope that McCann has now shown Lowe that he should be in the Preston side – and he played a key part in the goal.

With Bristol City breaking forward in the dying seconds, McCann pulled off a superb sliding challenge to win the ball back and get Preston moving again.
McCann’s ability to go from box to box and seemingly never tire is amazing, whilst we have seen these inch-perfect tackles on a number of occasions.
After the game, Lowe made a point of praising McCann, claiming it was a fantastic run back to his own goal and then a great tackle, with McCann’s contribution absolutely vital.
“It was a fantastic recovery run from Ali, first and foremost – great tackle to go from one end of the pitch to the other,” said Lowe. “Browney receives the ball, plays Pottsy in, I’m thinking it’s rolling out with the wind, I’m thinking it’s going out but he’s got his foot around it, and Emil’s in the right place at the right time and it’s a fantastic volley,” he added to iFollow.
