Joe Savage left Preston for Heart of Midlothian earlier this month, and he found a familiar face upon his move to Tynecastle.
Savage has reuniting with winger Josh Ginnelly, a player who is on loan at Hearts from North End until the end of the season.
Ginnelly’s Preston deal expires at the end of the season, meaning he has likely played his final game for North End, and is using his loan to either earn a permanent move to Edinburgh or put himself in the shop window.

The 23-year-old has impressed in Scotland’s second tier, bagging two goals in three appearances for Hearts, doing himself no harm in his pursuit of a deal.
On Sunday, Ginnelly came on as a substitute in the Scottish Cup final against Celtic, and after going close with one effort, he eventually found the net.

Ginnelly scored from close range in extra time to make the game 3-3, causing Celtic even more problems on what was a fairly troublesome day.

The Bhoys did run out winners in the end as they won on penalties, but Ginnelly at least enjoyed a great moment for him personally by scoring in a cup final at Hampden Park.
Ginnelly took to Twitter after the game, admitting that he was gutted with the result but proud of his teammates, calling on them to now go forward and win the Scottish Championship title.
He seems to have become a favourite at Hearts, but it will now be up to Savage to decide whether he is worth a permanent deal come the summer.
