The end of the season may have been delayed, but tough decision still have to be made.
For instance, Preston look set to release Michael Crowe and Connor Simpson. Neither of them have joined in training of late, with their contracts set to expire this summer.
Further down the North End setup, youth players are coming to end of their scholarships. Decisions on pro contracts have likely already been made, even if Preston haven’t confirmed anything yet.
Defender Tyler Williams is one player who hasn’t been given a pro deal. The 18-year-old joined North End in 2018, having previously been with Burnley and Oldham Athletic.

Born in Stockport, Williams has now moved back to Greater Manchester. The centre back has joined non-league side Stalybridge Celtic, with the news confirmed on Twitter on Tuesday.
MORE PRESTON STORIES
Williams will hope to settle at Stalybridge and play regular first-team football. A dominant, commanding force at 6ft 4in tall, Williams now joins Simon Haworth’s side in the hope of coming back up the pyramid in the future.
Preston midfielder Adam O’Reilly spent time on loan at Stalybridge this season, earning huge praise from boss Haworth. Unsurprisingly, O’Reilly took to Twitter to celebrate his former teammate’s move.
Talented teenagers Ethan Walker and Tyrhys Dolan also congratulated Williams on his move, with the Preston youngsters all rallying around the defender following his Preston exit.
